Hennepin County cited today – more potential relief coming to some small business owners who apply for and qualify to receive special grant funds being released this month.
The welcomed news may feel “too little – too late” for local business owners who were hit hard by the effects of COVID-19 this past year, but is bringing a ray of hope to some others in the communities throughout the county who are trying to hang onto their local business.

Small business relief
Hennepin County is now accepting applications from small businesses that have been negatively impacted economically by the pandemic as a part of Small Business Relief. Please feel free to share this link with other small businesses in Hennepin County that were not included in the first round of relief grants. Click on the link above to learn more and apply.
Deadline
Grant applications are available now through Thursday, January 14, 2021 at noon to eligible small businesses that have been financially harmed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Available funding
A total of $24.6 million in relief funding will be available. This funding was given to Hennepin County by the State of Minnesota to support businesses and nonprofits impacted by the pandemic and related state restrictions. Since May 2020, Hennepin County approved $44.75 million in small business relief grants through four application rounds.
